THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER UNICA YEAR!

2025 was the year we celebrated the 35th anniversary of our network of universities from the capitals of Europe and, as we reach the end of this chapter, we do so with humility and responsibility. The work ahead remains demanding but, if this year has demonstrated anything, it’s that cooperation matters. And so, looking back, the theme “35 Years of Building Bridges Across European Capitals” resonated strongly this year and made for a very UNICA year

But what exactly is a UNICA year?

It is the people behind the meetings, the conversations that continue beyond events, and the sense of belonging that turns cooperation into community. It is shaped by the commitment of our members, who bring diverse perspectives from Europe’s capital cities while sharing a common belief in dialogue, openness, and collaboration. Throughout the year, this collective effort gives meaning to UNICA’s activities and reminds us that the network is not defined by its calendar, but by the community that sustains it

So thank you for being part of this community, either by being directly involved in the activities, or just being on the other end of this message, following up on our efforts to Sharing, Learning, Adding Value towards the development of the European Higher Education and Research Areas.
